C H A R L E S I N F A N G E R<br />
Charles was the fourth <strong>of</strong> 16 children <strong>of</strong> Franz <strong>Infanger</strong><br />
and Katherina Gisler. He was born January 3, 1856. His<br />
name was Karl, he Americanized it to Charles when he<br />
immigrated. As a young man in Switzerland he worked<br />
on the construction <strong>of</strong> the Axenstrasse - the road on the<br />
east side <strong>of</strong> Lake Lucerne. He graduated from the Technikum<br />
in Winterthur, Switzerland as an architect. There is<br />
still a multiple family building in Fluelen that Charles designed.<br />
