V. FARRERI 'ALBUM' - (candissimum) This winter blooming viburnum positively glows with its white scented flowers. Our plants are in full bloom by mid-late January. Upright growth is perfect in which to grow one of the small clematis. 1 gal. $ 18.00 2 gal. $ 24.00 V. 'HURON' (V. lobophyllum x japonicum) has deep green leaves and is deciduous for us. The books say semievergreen. This 8'x8' shrub has 6" wide white flower clusters in midspring followed by dark red fruit. 2 gal. $ 20.00 V. LANTANA 'MOHAWK' - This viburnum has sweetly scented, light pink-white flowers in mid spring. The cinnamon scented flowers last 2-3 weeks on the 8' shrub. 2 gal. $ 20.00 V. LANTANA 'MOHICAN' is a 10'-12' upright shrub that has white flowers followed by clusters of fruit that continue to change from orange to red to black. Supposedly hardy to zone 3. Burr! 1 gal. $ 14.00 V. LANTANA 'VARIEGATA' - This large leafed, deciduous shrub has medium green leaves that have splashes of creamy white-yellow during early summer. By late summer the foliage is mostly just medium green. Even though the variegation doesn't last all summer this is still a nice shrub. 2 gal. $ 22.00 V. 'MARY MILTON' is supposed to be darker pink than V. 'Pink Sensation.' The snowball flowers appear in late May- June and really display beautifully with dark new foliage. 1 gal. $ 18.00 V. OPULUS 'AUREA' - Has golden foliage during spring and early summer. In late summer it turns to light green then in fall V. opelus 'Aurea' will change to golden yellow with yellow fruit in the early fall. 1 gal. $ 16.00 V. ODORTISSIMUM AWABUKI - is a large shrub 18'- 20' tall and 8' wide. This glossy foliaged evergreen will make an excellent screen at the back of the border. The fruit will turn black in the fall. 1 gal. $ 16.00 V. 'PINK SENSATION'- We have grown this gorgeous viburnum for 20+years and are always sold out. The deep green leaves are purple when they leaf out in spring until July. Our original plant came from our friend, the late Connie Hanson from Lincoln City, OR. Our large plant is 10'x10' and has literally hundreds of 2"-3" sterile snowbells that are a beautiful pink. We have a hard time keeping up with the demand so order early and often! 1 gal. $ 20.00 V. PRAGENSE 'DECKER' -This evergreen viburnum has glossy dark green leaves. The flowers are white with black fruit in fall. A good plant for a screen or background. 1 gal $ 18.00 V. PROPINQUIM - This glossy foliaged evergreen makes a beautiful mound 4-5' tall. The leaves are narrow and are very deep green. Flowers are white followed by black fruit in fall. 1 gal. $ 15.00 V. 'SUMMER SNOWFLAKE' - Not as small as we were told in the beginning, but still a much smaller more controllable plant than V. tomentosum 'Plicatum'. Flowers heavily in late April-May then sporadically until hard freezes. 1 gal. $ 15.00 V. TOMENTOSUM 'FIREWORKS' - is a David Leach (of Rhododendron fame) hybrid. The fertile flowers are red-purple and the sterile flowers are snow white. The growth is full and the plant will get 6'-8' tall. 1 gal. $ 15.00 30 V. TOMENTOSUM 'IGLOO' - This plant from Winterthur makes a dome shape up to 5' tall. The white flowers cover the plant clear to the ground in May. 2 gal. $ 15.00 V. TOMENTOSUM 'MOLLY SHROEDER' - Comes to us from New Zealand. Similar to V. 'Pink Beauty' but holds its pink color longer. V. 'Molly Shroeder' is consistently darker pink further south or under polyethylene in our shadehouses. 1 gal. $16.00 V. TRILOBUM 'RED WING' - has beautiful purplered new growth in spring. By fall the leaves will turn wine red . The flowers will appear in May and will be followed by long lasting red fruit. 1 gal. $ 16.00 V. 'WATANABE' - This excellent upright shrub can get 12'x8' wide in 30 years. We were initially told 4'-5' Ha-ha! V. 'Wanatabe' has white flowers at Mother's Day-time, covering the plant. As the summer goes on the flowers will appear sporadically until hard freeze. 1 gal. $ 16.00 VITIS - All grapes (Vitis) cannot be shipped to California. V. DAVIDII . The only grape with thorns (that we know). The soft barbs cover the stems of this large grower. The foliage can be up to 18" across. Since these are grafted, we haven't ever had fruit. We assume they need a pollinizer. 1 gal. $ 17.00 V. COIGNETIAE - A large grape that has glorious fall colors. The large leaves are heavily veined dark green. In fall the foliage turns rich reds, purples, oranges, and yellow. Should be grown on a heavy trellis. 1 gal. $ 17.00 WEIGELA W. 'GHOST' (W. f. Carlton ppaf) is a low grower with green leaves that change through summer into white leaves with a slight green margin. The pink purple flowers appear in late spring and can rebloom with a light pruning by late summer. 1 gal. $ 12.00 W. 'LOOYMANSII AUREA' - A brilliant yellow foliage covers this plant spring to fall. The flowers are soft pink which makes a nice compliment. Needs afternoon shade. 2 gal. $ 22.00 W. MIDDENDORFIANA - This irregular grower will get to 5' tall and have golden yellow flowers in early summer. 1 gal. $ 18.00 W. 'MIDNIGHT WINE' (W.f. Elvera PP. 12, 217) is a small mounding shrub with deep purple leaves all summer. The flowers are rich pink on spring. W. 'Midnight Wine' will make a pretty shrub for the front of the boarder all summer. 1 gal. $ 12.00 W. 'RED PRINCE' - This weigela has the richest red flowers imaginable. W. 'Red Prince' has dark green leaves and in late April the red flowers practically glow. Too bad this plant doesn't bloom at Christmas. 1 gal. $ 14.00 WISTERIA FRUTESCENS 'AMETHYST FALLS' - Whenever we see wisterias, we are most attracted to this plant. This small (read safer, not aggressive) plant has lavenderpurple flowers 6-8" long that bloom early summer then sporadically through the rest of the summer. 1 gal. $ 22.00
YUCCA Y. 'COLOR GUARD' - This yucca has a broad yellow center to the leaf. The margin is dark green so the foliage effect is overall golden from a distance. This easy grower is hardy in well drained full sun. 1 gal. $ 12.00 Y. LINEARIFOLIA can get to 5' tall with very narrow Long leaves creating a striking plant for the well drained garden or container. This Texas or northern Mexican native should be hardy in the Willamette Valley and Seattle area with sharp drainage. Supposedly a very rare plant so we hope we have enough. 1 gal $ 14.00 Y. 'NANA' - A very slow growing yucca for the rock garden or container. Foliage is dark green 1 gal. $ 14.00 ZENOBIA Z. 'BLUE SKY' - This zenobia has dusty blue foliage all summer and fall. The foliage will change color to golds, orange and red in December and January. The flowers are white bells in June. 1 gal. $ 16.00 Z. 'PULVERULENTA . We hope we have enough of this superb Southeastern native. The foliage is dusty blue all summer followed by orange, red, and yellow in late November - December. In May white bells appear on this 4' shrub.
