LASHINSKY, Eva (Warholic)<br />

Mrs. Eva Lashinsky, 78 of 48 Broad St. Wood, died at 10:30 p.m. Monday August 27,<br />

1973. At the Beford County Memorial Hospital. She had been in failing health for the<br />

past several years. A native of Austria she was born Feb. 21, 1897 to Wasco and Helen<br />

Warholic. She wed Wasco Lashinsky in Passaic, N.J. Feb. 16, 1916, Her husband past<br />

away on March 18, 1969. Surviving are the following children. Peter, Harry, Steve and<br />

Mrs. Ithel ( Helen ) Miller all of Wood. Paul and Mrs. Thorn ( Anna ) Clark Sr., both of<br />

Six Mile Run. Wascho Jr. of Broad Top City, and Mrs. Thomas ( Mary) McCue of<br />

Dudley. There are 21 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. Two sons, John &<br />

George preceeded her in death. Mrs. Lashinsky was the last surviving member of her<br />

immediate family. She was a member of St. Michael's Greek Orthodox Church in Wood.<br />

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday August 31 at St. Michael's Church with the<br />

Rev. Fr James Dutko officating. Interment will be in St. Michael's Cemetery. Friends<br />

may call at the home after 7p.m. Wednesday until 9:30 p.m. Friday, Parastas will be held<br />

7:30 p.m. Thursday at the late home. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the<br />

Masood funeral chapel, of Saxton<br />

LASHINSKY, Jack "John"<br />

Jack Lashinsky Succumbs Monday<br />

Jack "John" Lashinsky of Smithmill, near Houtzdale, died on Monday, Dec. 27, 1971.<br />

Mr. Lashinsky, who was 47, formerly resided at Mundy's Corner. Born Dec. 16, 1924, in<br />

Smithmill, he was the son of the late Mr. And Mrs. Wasil Lashinsky. He also was<br />

preceded in death <strong>by</strong> two brothers. Surviving are his widow, the former Judy Klym, son<br />

Dr. Dennis R. Lashinsky Indianapolis; a daughter, Darlene, wife of William Cioni,<br />

Mundy's Corner; son, Douglas and a daughter DeAnne, both at home. Also surviving are<br />

two grandchildren, Damian and Douglas Cioni, and these brothers and sisters: The Rev.<br />

Andrew Lashinsky, Sharon; Mrs. Katherine Barno, Twin Rocks; Mrs. Anna Richschelt,<br />

Houtzdale; Mrs. Ella Longneckler, Tyrone, and Frank Lashinsky, Mrs. Evenly Novak,<br />

Mrs. Helen Tutokey. Mrs. Martha Tatanish and Mrs. Marie Lidgett, all of Smithmill.<br />

Funeral service was held on Thursday. Arrangemewnts were in charge of the Freeburg<br />

LASHINSKY, Peter<br />

Peter Lashinsky of Johnstown R.D. 6 died August 11, 1983, at Lee Hospital. His death, at<br />

87, ended a marriage union of 64 years with the former Catherine Temo. A son of the late<br />

Harry and Anna Lashinsky, he was born July 12, 1896, in Austria. He was preceded in<br />

death <strong>by</strong> sons, Wasco, Metro and Michael, and a brother, Wasco. In addition to his<br />

widow, he is survived <strong>by</strong> these children John, married to the former Mary Elaine Stoy,<br />

Nanty Glo; Mary, wife of James Steele, Mineral Point; Evelyn, widow of the late Joseph<br />

Baxter, Johnstown R.D. 6 and George and Janet, wife of Peter Shero, both of Ebensburg.<br />

Also surviving are 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Mr. Lashinsky was a<br />

retired coal miner with 47 years service at Bethlehem Mines Corp. He was a member of<br />

Holy Ascension Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Nanty Glo and Nanty Glo Local 1386,<br />

UMWA. Friends were received at the Harry R. Ondriezek II Funeral Home in Nanty Glo<br />

where parastas was sung Saturday and Sunday evenings. Funeral Liturgy was celebrated<br />

at 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Ascension Ukrainian Orthodox Church, <strong>by</strong> the Rev. George
