LAWRISKI, Mary (Berezansky) Mary Berezansky Lawriski, 69, of Mt. Pleasant, Mich., formerly of Dixonville, died Wednesday, April 8, 1987, in the Isabella County Medical Care Center Mt. Pleasant, Mich. A daughter of Wasil and Helen Truhan Berezansky, she was born Oct. 16,1917, at Osceola Mills. Mrs. Lawriski was a member of St. John's Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Dixonville. She had been a beautician in Mt. Pleasant, Mich., for many years where she owned and operated her own shop. Surviving are these brothers and sisters: John Berezansky and Mrs. Joseph (Helen) Otersin both of Dixonville, Frank Berezansky of Clymer, Metro Berezansky of Bellevue, Ohio, Mrs. Sue Jordan of Leesburg, Fla., Alex Berezansky of Pittsburgh, and Mrs. Cathy White of Shoemakersville, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Michael Lawriski. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today (Friday) at the Bence Funeral Home, Clymer, where a Parastas service will be held at 8 p.m. today. Requiem Divine Liturgy will be offered in St. John's Church, Dixonville, at 11:30 a.m. Saturday. Rev. Fr. George Hnatko will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in the church cemetery near Dixonville. LAZERATION, Charles Longtime resident Charles Lazeration passed away Jan. 31, 2002, in Fairbanks. Charles was born Nov. 25, 1914, in Ginter, Pa. to Ukrainian immigrants Katherine and Michael Lazeration. Charles was one of six children. Charlie came to Alaska in 1938 aboard the steamship Yukon. He made his way to Fairbanks which he has called home for 64 years. Over the years Charlie worked at Chena Hot Springs, the Stampede antimony mine, Cleary Hill, Usibelli Coal Mine and Myrtle Creek. In 1944 he went into the U.S. Army and was a sergeant with the Army Transportation Services and was stationed at various locations in Southeast Alaska. In 1948 Charlie hard-rock mined on Pedro Dome with Vern Jokela, his future brother-in-law. In 1951 he married Violet Kinared. They built a house at the Pedro Dome Mine. Charlie continued to mine at Pedro Dome until he moved his family into Fairbanks so his daughters could attend public school. During 1955-56 he worked on the DEW line and later set up rigs for drilling gas wells for the Navel Reserve. He also freighted for Alfred Ghezzi and Alaska Freight Lines in the Arctic, Canada and McClaren River Copper Mine. During the late 1950s he returned to mine at Pedro Creek and later worked at Gubik and Umiat for Colorado Gas & Oil Exploration Services. During the pipeline years he worked for Burgess Construction building the Barrow and Deadhorse airfields, and opening up the Happy Valley and Galbreath Lake sites. After retirement in the early 1980s Charlie and Vi retired to their home on the Old Steese Highway, where friends and family were often sent home with vegetables and baked goods. Charlie will always be remembered for his expertise as a master mechanic which earned him high praise from employers and fellow workers. Most importantly Charlie will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather. Charlie was a member of Pioneers of Alaska, Igloo No. 4, Operating Engineers Local 302, Alaska Miners Association, and AARP. He was honored to be elected Pioneer King Regent 1994 and F.N.S.B. Pioneer of the Month in August 1998. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, all siblings and his wife Violet, who died in 1987. He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Linda and Chuck Kirschner, Kathryn and Barney Harrod, Helen Lazeration of Fairbanks and Margaret Lazeration of Kansas City, Kan.; grand-children Shelli Schwarz and husband Richard of Palmer, Charles Kirschner and wife Danelle, Joshua and Jeremy Harrod of Fairbanks; great-grandchildren Danielle and Amber Schwarz and Erik and Kyle Kirschner. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, in Pioneer Hall at Alaskaland. In lieu of flowers (unless you can find fireweed this time of year-. his favorite flower) the family requests that donations be made to the Pioneers of Alaska or your favorite charity. (Fairbanks Daily News Miner , Sunday February 3, 2002) LAZERATION, Frank Frank Lazeration, 82, of Morann died at 10:00 PM on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at his residence. He was born on March 19, 1929 in Ginter a son of the late Stephen and Anna (Lashinsky) Lazeration. He was a parishioner of St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Ramey and was a self-employed Carpenter and worked for Reese Brothers and Marsha Reese of Houtzdale. Mr. Lazeration was twice married, first to Irene Sokal Lazeration on Sept. 30, 1950, she preceded him in death on July 8, 1998. He then married Mary Chutko Buynak Lazeration at Christ The King Catholic Church on Sept. 5, 2000, she surivies of Morann. Mr. Lazeration is survived by four children; Stephen F.
