FARMINGTON, Mich. - Martin L. Lenkevich, 79, of Farmington, Mich., and formerly<br />
of Houtzdale, died Thursday, July 27, 2000. He is survived <strong>by</strong> his wife, Anna; a daughter,<br />
Marian Schulte; a sister, Mrs. John (Ann) Dixon of Houtzdale; and a brother, Steve and<br />
his wife, Doris; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death <strong>by</strong> his parents,<br />
Michael and Katie Lenkevich; a grandson, John Schulte; a brother, John; and a sister,<br />
Mary Demchak. Funeral services were held at the Chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish,<br />
Farmington, Mich. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the<br />
Monastery of the Blessed Sacrament, 29575 Middlebelt, Road Farming Hills, Mich.<br />
48034. The Henney-Sundquist Funeral Home, Farmington, Mich. was in charge of<br />

Joseph C. Lidgett, Jr. Smithmill- Tipika will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10a.m. at St.<br />
Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Smithmill for Joseph Clayton Lidgett Jr. 65, of<br />
Smithmill who died Friday August 10, 2001 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh.<br />
Father Paul Bigelow will officiate. Interment will be at the church cemetery in Beulah.<br />
Friends will be received today from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Birger A. Freeberg Funeral<br />
Home Inc., Houtzdale. Panikhida will be celebrated on Monday at 7 30 pm at the funeral<br />
home. Graveside Military services will be accorded <strong>by</strong> the Stephen Kandrach Veterans of<br />
Foreign Wars Honor Guard. Born May 2, 1936 in Bigler, he was the son of the late<br />
Joseph C. Lidgett Sr. and Vivian (Bumgarger) Lidgette who survives in Philipsburg. On<br />
Sept 3, 1960 in Moshannon he married the former Marie Ann Lashinsky who survives at<br />
home. He was employed as a technician for Corning-Asahi of State college until his<br />
retirement. He was a member of St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Smithmill and<br />
the Stephen Kandrach VFW Post #6321 Smithmill. He served as a past vice president of<br />
the Moshannon Valley PTA and as a past member of the Tyrone Jaycee. He served with<br />
the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He is survived <strong>by</strong> two daughters , Mrs.<br />
Gregory (Denise) Sherkel and Susan Kasubick, both of Houtzdale and four<br />
grandchildren, Joshua and Courtney Sherkel and Nathan and Justin Kasubick, all of<br />
Houtzdale. Also surviving are four brothers, Ronald N. of Bellefonte, Billy R. of<br />
Moshannon, Terrance S. of Snow Shoe and Larry L. of Coburn; three sisters Jeannie<br />
Lidgett of Philipsburg, Penny L. Smades of Devon and Cherry S. Coble of<br />
Punxsutawney; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death <strong>by</strong> his<br />
