Wednesday evening. Solemn Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday from the<br />

SS Peter and Paul Greek Russian Orthodox Church in Urey. The Rev. Father Kosteschak<br />

will be the celebrant and interment will follow in the Urey Greek Catholic<br />

LAZERATION, John<br />

John Lazeration, 76, of 246 Pennway Drive, Nanty Glo, Pa., died Jan 2, 1998, at<br />

Memorial Medical Center. Born Dec 24, 1921, at Ehrenfeld, Pa., Son of Charles and<br />

Kathryn (Tocarchick) Lazeration, Preceded in death <strong>by</strong> parents; sisters; Anne Williams,<br />

Margaret Taylor and Katherine Sturat. Survived <strong>by</strong> wife the former Mary Judd and these<br />

children; Joni Lazeration, at home and Mary Joyce, wife of David M. Kivsto, Mineral<br />

Point; two grandchildren David John and Michael James. Brother of Louis Drake, Fla.<br />

Also survived <strong>by</strong> several nieces and nephews and cousins. An Army Veteran of World<br />

War II. Former owner of Jomar Plastics of Nanty Glo. Also former member of<br />

Ebensburgh Lions Club. Death ends marriage union of 48 yrs Friends received from 7-<br />

9pm Sunday and 2-4 and 7-9 Monday at Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home<br />

LAZERATION - Joni Lynn<br />

LAZERATION - Joni Lynn, 48, Somerset, joined the saints of heaven on Feb. 19, 2004,<br />

from Shadyside Hospital. Born Dec. 12, 1955, in New York, daughter of the late John<br />

and Mary F. (Judd) Lazeration. Survived <strong>by</strong> sister, Mary, and husband, David Kivisto,<br />

Mundys Corner; nephews, David John and Michael James; and her extended family, the<br />

Kivistos, who treated her like one of their own. Joni will be sadly missed <strong>by</strong> all of her<br />

family and friends. Had attended and served as soloist at St. John Gualbert Cathedral,<br />

Johnstown. Member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mundys Corner.<br />

Dedicated to the nursing profession for 28 years. Former staff nurse for SCI-Cresson and<br />

the Allegheny Lutheran Home and Conemaugh Hospital in the ICU-CCU. Nursing<br />

supervisor at Patriot Manor, Somerset. Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday<br />

at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Nanty Glo. Funeral service will be held at 4<br />

p.m. Monday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the Rev. Lynn M. Sanner officiating.<br />

Interment, Ogden Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joni's memory may be made<br />

to the Hillman Cancer Center Development Department, UPMC Cancer Pavilion, First<br />

LAZERATION, Katherine<br />

Katherine Lazeration, 84, Marion Center, died Friday, Sept. 16, 1994, at Beacon Manor,<br />

Indiana. The daughter of Harry and Anna Beley Zagrodniczek, she was born December<br />

16, 1909, in Austria. A housewife and mother, she immigrated to the United States in<br />

1913, resided in Pittsburgh, Homer City, Dixonville, and moved to Marion Center in<br />

1949. She was a member of the St. John Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Dixonville.
