Glen ARMENTROUT, 88, formerly of 333 W. Church St., Argos, died Thursday at<br />

Pilgrim Manor Health Care Center, Plymouth.<br />

Juanita E. GRANHOLM, 81, Rochester, died at 1:15 p.m. Friday at Life Care Center,<br />

Rochester. Arrangements are pending at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester.<br />

Shirley L. Haiflich<br />

May 14, 1943 – February 1, <strong>2002</strong><br />

Shirley L. HAIFLICH, 58, died at 6:35 a.m. Friday at her 418 N. Mishawaka St., Akron,<br />

residence. She had been ill since July.<br />

Born in Cadiz, Ky. to Wayne and Mildred SHANE NEWNAM, she married Rev. Stevan<br />

R. HAIFLICH Dec. 31, 1992 in North Webster. He survives.<br />

Mrs. Haiflich, formerly of Roanoke, was a materials planner at Raytheon Systems, Fort<br />

Wayne. She was a member of Akron United Methodist Church, the Rural Chaplain’s Association,<br />

of which she was secretary one year, and the American Business Women’s Association Kilsoquah<br />

Chapter, Huntington.<br />

Surviving with her husband, at home, are her mother, Fairbury, Ill.; two stepsons, Phillip<br />

HAIFLICH and wife Heidi and Andrew HAIFLICH and friend Lauren HALEY, all of Fort<br />

Wayne; two stepgrandchildren; three sisters, Elaine NYSTROM and husband Wade, Altona, Ill.,<br />

Karilyn NEWNAM, Urbana, Ill., Elsie CASTEEL and husband David, Great Falls, Mont.; one<br />

brother, Stan NEWNAM and wife Kathy, Mount Vernon, Ill.<br />

Preceding in death was her father.<br />

Services are at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Akron United Methodist Church with Rev. Michael<br />

HARRIS officiating. Burial will be at Mossburg Cemetery, Wells <strong>County</strong>, near Liberty Center.<br />

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Monday at the church, 121 N. Mishawaka St., Akron. Memorials<br />

may be made to the Akron Missions Fund, the Rural Chaplain’s Association or the church of one’s<br />

choice. Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron, is in charge of arrangements.
