Helen L. Reece<br />

Jan. 11, 1917 – Feb. 16, <strong>2002</strong><br />

Helen L. REECE, 85, Rochester, died at 10:55 a.m. Saturday at Woodlawn Hospital.<br />

Born in Aurora, Ill., to Albert and Charlotte MAYNARD BRANDT, she married Charles<br />

F. REECE Sept. 16, 1938. He died Aug. 22, 1987.<br />

Survivors include one son, Richard C. and wife Diane M. REECE, Rochester; one<br />

grandson, Michael and wife Lisa REECE and two great-granddaughters, Alex-andra REECE and<br />

Christina REECE, all of Colorado Springs; one sister, Shirley SOLOMON and one nephew, Craig<br />

SOLOMON, both of St. Louis.<br />

She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.<br />

No servicse or visitation are planned. Zimmerman Brothers Funeral Home, Rochester, is<br />

in charge of arrangements.<br />

Wilda N. Culp<br />

March 21, 1915 – Feb. 15, <strong>2002</strong><br />

Wilda Nolan McKEE CULP, 86, formerly of Logansport, died at 8:55 p.m. Friday at her<br />

Bradenton, Fla., residence.<br />

Born in Cass <strong>County</strong> to Jess and Celestia MARQUIS YANKEE, she married Chester A.<br />

CULP Oct. 31, 1931 in Logansport. He died May 8, 2001.<br />

Mrs. Culp was a retired Standard Food Co. meat cutter. She was a nurse at St. Joseph<br />

Hospital, Logansport. She attended Miami Baptist Church and was a member of Clay Township<br />

Extension Homemakers.<br />

Survivors include two daughters, Phyllis CULP, Palmetto, Fla., Marjorie SKINNER and<br />

husband Richard, Bradenton, Fla.; one son, Kenneth [CULP] and wife Bev, Bradenton, Fla.; 20<br />

grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Wanda<br />

CIESIELSKI.<br />

Preceding in death with her husband were two sons, Albert “Hotshot” Fenton CULP and<br />

David Blane CULP, one granddaughter, Sondra HUGHES-BECKETT, one sister, Pauline<br />

BAUGHER, and two brothers, Wayne and Archie YANKEE.<br />

Services are at 10 a.m. Saturday at Gundrum Funeral Home, 1603 E. Broadway St.,<br />

Logansport. Burial will be at Ever Rest Memorial Park Cemetery, Logansport. Friends may call<br />

from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hopice of Southwest<br />

Florida, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238.<br />

Okie Lester<br />

April 9, 1916 – Feb. 20, <strong>2002</strong><br />

Okie LESTER, 85, North Manchester, died at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday at Miller’s Merry<br />

Manor, Warsaw.<br />

Born in Buchanan <strong>County</strong>, Va., to George W. and Bessie LOONEY BAILEY, she<br />

married Lawrence LESTER Oct. 5, 1940. He died Nov. 27, 1993.<br />

Mrs. Lester retired from United Technologies after 25 years and was a homemaker. She<br />

was a member of Northern Little Dove Old Regular Baptist Church, Sydney.<br />

Survivors include two [sic] sons, Jerry, Andrew and Randy [LESTER], all of North
