Jack G. MILLER, 79, Sarasota, Fla., died Jan. 2 in Sarasota.<br />

Born in Urbana, Ohio to Hershel and Bess McINTYRE MILLER, he married Barbara<br />

GRABILL Oct. 20, 1946 in Elkhart. She survives.<br />

Mr. Miller was a 1939 Rochester High School graduate and a 1942 graduate of Purdue<br />

University School of Pharmacology. He lived in Indianapolis from 1947 to 1983. <strong>The</strong>re he was a<br />

pharmacist at the Veteran’s Hospital until retiring in 1977. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World<br />

War II and a retired U.S. Army Reserves major. He was past president of Indiana Society of<br />

Hospital Pharmacists.<br />

Surviving with his wife, at home, are three sons, Dennis J. [MILLER], Nineveh, Edwin<br />

A. [MILLER], Indianapolis, Eric B. [MILLER], Muncie; one daughter, Mrs. Susan A. TRAPP,<br />

Flora; 13 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren and four stepgreatgrandchildren.<br />

Preceding in death was one son.<br />

No services are planned. Memorials may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma<br />

Society, 921 E. 86th St., Indianapolis, IN 46240. Cree Funeral Home, Camden, is in charge of<br />

arrangements.<br />

Thomas J. Michael<br />

July 11, 1957 – Jan. 8, <strong>2002</strong><br />

Thomas J. MICHAEL, 44, Radnor, died at 9:11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Medical<br />

Center, Lafayette.<br />

He was born in Lafayette to Robert E. and Martha Belle HARMON MICHAEL.<br />

Mr. Michael attended Delphi High School and enjoyed collecting John Deere memorabilia, trains<br />

and antiques.<br />

Survivors include his mother, of Radnor; two sisters, Sandra JARVIS and husband<br />

Clarence, Columbus, Lisa ADAMS, Delphi; two brothers, Curtis [MICHAEL] and wife Patty,<br />

Logansport, Ricky [MICHAEL] and wife Sharon, Rochester; one uncle, Medford HARMON,<br />

Cutler.<br />

Preceding in death were his father and one nephew, David MICHAEL.<br />

Services are at 2 p.m. Friday at Davidson Funeral Home, Delphi, with Rev. Woody<br />

SLADE of Rochester First Christian Church officiating. Burial will be at Burlington Cemetery,<br />

Bur-lington. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made<br />

to Carroll <strong>County</strong> Cancer Association.<br />

Marjorie B. Sparling<br />

July 18, 1909 – Jan. 10, <strong>2002</strong><br />

Marjorie B. SPARLING, 92, died at 9:25 a.m. Thursday at her 784 West Shore Drive,<br />

Culver, residence. She had been in failing health eight years.<br />

Born in Logansport to James I. and Emily Christine ENGELBRECHT BARNES, she<br />

married Floyd L. SPARLING Jan. 19, 1932. He died Jan. 23, 2001.<br />

Mrs. Sparling was a homemaker and a member of First Presbyterian Church, Greensboro,
