Plymouth, with Rev. Robert RICE officiating. Burial will be at New Oak Hill Cemetery,<br />

Plymouth. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials<br />

may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.<br />

Alice J. PLANTZ, 74, died at 8:20 p.m. Thursday at her Kewanna residence.<br />

Born in Chicago, Ill. to Fred and Rose COPELAND SHEANE, she married Robert J.<br />

PLANTZ July 12, 1947 in Chicago, Ill. He survives.<br />

Mrs. Plantz was a surgical nurse over 30 years at Woodlawn Hospital and was a<br />

homemaker. She was a member of Union Township Home Extension Club. She graduated from<br />

St. Catherine School of Nursing, East Chicago, Ill.<br />

Surviving with her husband, at home, are one son, Fred [PLANTZ] and wife Molly,<br />

Indianapolis; three daughters, Kathleen KING and husband Art, Twelve Mile, Susan<br />

McCONKEY and husband Larry, Avon Park, Fla., Karen FIELD and husband Mark, Kewanna;<br />

one daughter-in-law, Lisa NOLEN, Argos; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.<br />

Preceding in death were one son, Donald PLANTZ, and one sister, Muriel<br />

VERHAEGHE.<br />

Services are at 1 p.m. Sunday at Harrison-Metzger Funeral Home, Kewanna, with Rev.<br />

Ron PURKEY officiating. Burial will be at Bruce Lake Cemetery, Kewanna. Friends may call<br />

from 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hope Hospice of <strong>Fulton</strong><br />

<strong>County</strong>.<br />

Feb. 21, 1922 – Feb. 9, <strong>2002</strong><br />

Mary Louise BAIR, 79, Chicago, Ill., died at 1:40 a.m. Saturday at Rush Presbyterian-St.<br />

Luke’s Hospital, Chicago, Ill. She had been in failing health three months.<br />

Born in Rochester to Mahlon P. and Trella G. KENLEY BAIR, she moved to Chicago in<br />

1939.<br />

Miss Bair was a receptionist at a Chicago law firm more than 56 years. She was a 1939<br />

Richland Center High School graduate and attended Valparaiso University. She served in the<br />

Women’s Army Auxiliary Corps. and was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Lutheran Church,<br />

Chicago.<br />

Survivors include one brother, Richard P. BAIR and wife Augusta, Rochester; three<br />

nieces, Ellen UNDERWOOD, Dallas, Texas, Susanne BAIR and Jennifer CRANE, both of<br />

Bloomington; one great-niece, Natalie CRANE, Bloomington; one great-nephew, Nathan<br />

CRANE, Bloomington.<br />

Preceding in death were her parents.<br />

Private graveside services were today at Richland Cemetery, northeast of Rochester, with<br />

Rev. James KREFT officiating. Foster & Good Funeral Home, Rochester, is in charge of<br />

arrangements.
