RESULTADOS Y DISCUSIÓN aunque los máximos de absorción se manifiestan a longitudes de onda prácticamente idénticas a las de los picos 1 y II, el aspecto del espectro de absorción no es el mismo, disminuyendo la absorción del máximo a 279-280 nm y aumentando el de 190-200 nm. El pico cromatográfico III, no se manifiesta a tiempo inicial y va aumentando conforme transcurre el tiempo de hidrólisis, por lo que debe ser atribuido a un producto de hidrólisis de la Ceftizoxima, el más previsible de los cuales seria el 7- desmetil ADCA. Este producto no es posible encontrarlo en los distribuidores ni nos pudo ser suministrado por los laboratorios farmacéuticos a los que se les solicitó, pero si dispusimos del 7-ADCA, suministrado por SKF, cuyo espectro Uy, y cromatograma no deben diferir en exceso del 7-desmetil ADCA. Por ello, efectuamos una inyección de este producto, en las mismas condiciones cromatográficas, obteniendo el cromatograma que se muestra en la figura 10, donde se manifiesta un solo pico cromatográfico, con un tiempo de retención de 1,10 mm., prácticamente idéntico al observado en el pico III del cromatograma de la figura 7. El espectro U.V. del 7-ADCA se muestra en la figura 11, siendo idéntico al del pico III (figura 9), por tanto este pico cromatográfico, debe asignarse al 7-desmetil ADCA. Los cromatogramas presentan el mismo perfil, en los distintos valores de ph y temperaturas. Por todo lo manifestado, se puede establecer que el mecanismo de hidrólisis de la Ceftizoxima en los valores de pH entre 2 y 8, debe de dar como productos el 7-desmetil ADCA y el ácido tiazoxímico, que aunque no se observe en 43
