Abstract
The present explores the public space of Mexico City, background of daily social life
that records both the mobility of an countless heterogeneity of people and events
and the daily wanderings through the streets of the phenomenon of homelessness;
through ethnographic fieldwork and participant observation between 2010-2012,
their movements were configured, finding that it is in the regular use of public space
that underlies their representation, organization and action oriented to the physicalsocial
environment, forming socio-spatial schemes that delimit attitudes and behaviors
in situated and circumscribed areas that outline cultural enclaves of destitution.

Resumen
El artículo explora el espacio público de la Ciudad de México, fondo de la vida social
cotidiana que registra tanto la movilidad de una incontable heterogeneidad de personas
y aconteceres como el diario vagabundeo por las calles del fenómeno de la
indigencia; mediante trabajo de campo etnográfico y observación participante entre
2010-2012 se configuraron sus desplazamientos, encontrando que es en el uso regular
del espacio público donde subyace su representación, organización y acción
orientada al entorno físico-social, conformando esquemas socioespaciales que delimitan
actitudes y comportamientos en ámbitos situados y circunscriptos que contornean
enclaves culturales de la indigencia.
