Barrage hideaway
Ouaga has three reservoirs, or
barrages, to the north of the city. On
the north bank of Barrage 2 lies Hotel
Ricardo (tel. 5031 1717 or 5030 7072,
hotel.ricardo@hotmail.fr), famous for
its charming atmosphere, cosy rooms
and pool by the lake.
Sun screen
Ouaga is known for its cinema. Visitors
can take in movies at Ciné Burkina (Ave
Loudon) or Ciné Neerwaya (Cit é An III).

outdoor cinema in the centre of town,

any central hotel will cost no more than
CFA3,000 (€4.50). You can hire a bike for
CFA1,500 (€2), a motorbike for CFA4,000
(€6), a car for around CFA25,000 (€38) or a
4x4 for CFA45,000 (€70), a day. Taxis around
town cost CFA200 (€0.30) on standard
routes, otherwise CFA1,000 (€1.50) up.

Ouaga heeft drie waterbekkens, of
stuurdammen, ten noorden van de
stad. Op de noordelijke oever van Dam
