Ces derniers, en compagnie d’un guide de haute montagne ou un accompagnateur, pourront relever le défi de l’un des tours au départ de la vallée : Tour des fiz, Tour du Haut-Giffre, Tour des Dents Blanches... vous pourrez faire étape dans l’un des nombreux refuges présents sur les différents parcours : un dépliantguide est proposé à l’Office de Tourisme pour vous familiariser avec la vallée, ses circuits, ses principaux sites et les refuges qui vous accueillent tout au long de l’été. A veritable treasure trove of natural marvels, the Giffre valley is situated between lake Leman and Mont Blanc, on the famous GR5 route. Offering a list of spectacular natural sites to visit, it’s a must-do! Find yourself again in the peace and calm of the Sixt- Passy nature reserve, in the commune of Sixt-Fer-à- Cheval. The Fer-à-Cheval cirque, with its awe-inspiring horseshoe cliffs, is a sight to behold and also an ideal place to explore if you like highly scenic hiking. In the company of a professional guide you can explore renowned walking tracks in the area, such as the Tour des Fiz or the Tour du Haut Giffre. You can stop off in one of the many mountain refuges that are scattered amongst the different walking routes, and a brochure outlining all the walks, refuges and major sights to see in the upper Giffre valley is available free of charge at the Tourist Office.
