Attention: to use the panel ED 3 M HS choose the dimensions of the hydraulic system so as to limit the maximum
number of starts per hour to 20 (1 start every 3 minutes).
8.2 Characteristics and interpretation of the wiring diagram references.
The control panel is self-protected and protects the electropump against overloads, short circuits and overtemperatures,
with manual reset. It comes complete with terminals for connecting the motor and the control floats.
Complete with terminals to allow the use of an alarm float and with terminals (without potential) for remote feeding of
an acoustic or luminous alarm. Provided with a button for manual operation of the electropump.
ED 3 MHS: provided with an automatic device for increasing the static torque time on starting, set by the manufacturer
at 2 seconds (NB do not set at over 4 seconds).
The internal transformer is supplied complete with a self-resetting protection against overloads or
short circuits, which manually cuts out the supply voltage for 3 minutes.
Ref. Function (references on the enclosed wiring diagrams booklet)
Automatic magnetothermal switch, for protection of the P1 motor supply line against overloads and short
circuits, with manual reset.
Supply line insulating switch.
Button for manual operation of the electropump as long as it is pressed.
Timer for regulating the strong static torque time. Possibility of regulation from 0.5 to 4 sec. set by the
manufacturer during calibration at 2 sec. (only for ED 3 M HS ).
Green warning light indicating that the electropump is being fed.
Connection of motor thermal protector.
ATTENTION! For pumps with KK thermal protector, please remove the
connector for KK clamps of the control panel and connect them with
protection cables which are present on the pump cable (pag. 96).
Fuses for protecting the transformer against incorrect connection of the motor leads (0.2A)
The panel remains live even after intervention of the protection device which interrupts operation. (only for ED 3 M,
ED 3 M HS)
Disconnect the power before maintenance.
