FORUMS
Five world forums on sport, education and
culture have been held and three of them
since the merger of the culture and Olympic
Academy and education Commissions.

The world forums represent the basis of
the commission work and at each forum
recommendations adopted by the participants

setting out the vision of the Olympic
Movement's work in terms of education and
culture for the following two years were
formulated. After the first two editions being
held in Lausanne the forum moved to other
European cities and more recently to Asia.
For the last editions the tendency is to
organise the forum in partnership with other
organisations working in the field of sport,
culture and education such as UNESCO
and BOCOG and for the next edition the
Organising Committee of the Busan TAFISA
World Sport for All Games. This has allowed
the conference to be taken beyond the
Olympic Movement and has increased its
appeal to a broader public.
The next world forum will be held in Busan,
Korea in September 2008 in partnership
with the Organising Committee of the Busan
World Sport for All Games and the Korean
Olympic Committee. The programme will
largely concentrate on youth in light of the
forthcoming Youth Olympic Games.
