International Pierre de
Coubertin Committee (CIPC)
The aim of the International Pierre de
Coubertin Committee (CIPC) is to make
known as widely as possible the work of the
restorer of the Olympic Games and perpetuate
his memory all over the world.
The committee has undertaken such
activities as the publication of a Coubertin
bibliography in 1991, with English and
Spanish translations and regularly organizes
scientific congresses and exhibitions.
The IOC recognized the CIPC in 1978 and
subsidises the committee while the
Commission collaborates with it on a number
of projects, notably their biennial youth
forum and the Olympic Youth Camp held
during the Olympic Summer Games and
provides financial assistance for both
regular and sporadic projects serving the
Commission aims.
