7.1 Setting thebackrestThe backrest will be folded down forshipping. Raise it into the vertical positionand, while doing so, slide the inner tube intothe receiving outer tube.Secure the backrest in an upright positionand tighten the socket cap. Check that it issecure and does not move when pressureis applied. If the user thrusts forward orbackwards they could cause injury tothemselves or their carers.Always make sure the backrest isattached securely.Use caution when inserting inner tubeas there could be possible finger nip.
7.2 Attaching thefootrests (if ordered)If using the Leckey footrests, remove theseat from the chassis and set the seatingsystem upside down on a work surface.Open up the angle of the leg supports byreleasing the two locking levers (A), shown,and set to the maximum width. Openthe socket caps (B) and slide in the calfsupports. Set to the desired position, withthe footplates facing forward and retightenthe socket cap bolts with the multi-tool.Always make sure the foot plate isattached firmly.ABB
