7.3 Attaching the seatingsystem to the Hi-low chassisAdjust the height of the chassis to itsmaximum to reduce risk of back strain whileattaching the seat unit. Refer to Section 11on how to adjust the height of the chassisyou have purchased.First release the safety locking pin at thefront of the seat. To do this pull the pin outand rotate through 90 degrees. Carefully liftthe seat and place it into the chassis. At therear of the underside of the seat you will seea receiving channel. Place this securely overthe tube towards the back of the chassis.Pull the handle at the front of the seat unit upand then pivot the seat forward and down.Once the front of the seat is lowered fully,release the handle and push it forward toensure it has fully engaged on the front tube.Rotate the safety locking pin so it engages infront of the handle. If it hits the handle thenthe seat is not inserted properly. Removeand repeat process outlined above.Always check the handle and lockingpin are fully engaged before you placethe child in the seating system. If thehandle is not engaged properly the seatunit can come loose and could causeserious injury to the child or carer.
