11.6 Tilt in spaceThe tilt in space can be angled while theuser is in the seat. Before you adjust the tiltin space angle of the seat always ensure thepelvic harness is secured preventing the userfrom sliding forward in the seat.To adjust the tilt angle press the lever underthe seat base. Once you have selected theangle you require, by simply removing yourhand from the lever, the chair will be lockedin position. The tilt in space should belocked off while the user is in the seat. Tolock the lever twist the pull pin to the righthand side of the lever and the pin will popinto position. You may have to lift the leverslightly to allow it to lock. To unlock pull thepin out and rotate 90 degrees, the lever canthen be operated.Always keep the tilt in space leverin the locked position to preventaccidental actuation of the lever whichcould cause the seat unit to jolt andpossibly cause injury to the child.Please use handle bars when operatingtilt in space.Always check with your therapist thatthe use of tilt in space will not causeany obstructions to the child’s airways.LeverLocking pin
