Conclusion: accord<strong>in</strong>g to the literature selected, colchic<strong>in</strong>e use has no<br />

demonstrable negative effect on fertility. If untreated, FMF itself can lead<br />

to amyloid deposits <strong>in</strong> the testis and ovary, result<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> <strong>in</strong>fertility.<br />

Patients with FMF may safely cont<strong>in</strong>ue to use colchic<strong>in</strong>e<br />

throughout the reproductive phase of their life.<br />
