Jurgis Pralgauskis, Kristina Serapinaitė
in this mini research (based on online questionnaire) we tried to see, what are the main
issues for it teacher these days and how they cope with permanently changing curriculum.
most answers could be guessed in advance, so we just present the statistics. and also selected
the most interesting for us comments, what novations and how teachers use. most
say, that students lack patience, accomplishing tasks till the end, planning, logical skills.
But students are interested in web development technologies, and possibilities to get quick
effect (for example, powerpoint, video, graphics and excel as it calculates quickly). there
is diminishing interest in programming, but creative (non dull) projects can involve students
more. it Competitions are also quite popular. teachers also try and propose nontraditional
teaching methods – giving group tasks, giving more advanced students to consult the
weaker ones, online (video) lectures, online tests. and 75% of respondent to question “Why
did they become it teachers” say they like it.
