Cirque-Cirqulaire bestaat sinds 2006 met als drijvende kracht
Benjamin Rummens uit Gent. Benjamin startte met circus in
Circolito, het circusatelier van Mechelen, en ging vervolgens naar
Espace Catastrophe. In ESAC vervolledigde hij zijn opleiding. In zijn
creaties gaat hij telkens, solo of met andere artiesten, op zoek naar
unieke combinaties van technieken en andere podiumkunsten.
Vandaag mengt hij vooral circustheater en ‘la Magie Nouvelle’.
Benjamin Rummens crée de l’animation dans la rue et des numéros
de cirque uniques et originaux grâce à des techniques de cirque,
des clowneries, de l’improvisation, des techniques de prestidigitation
et plein de créativité. Il travaille seul ou en collaboration avec
d’autres artistes.
With circus techniques, clownery, improvisation, magic tricks and
a lot of creativity, Benjamin Rummens brings unique and original
circus acts and street entertainment, alone or together with

In deze circustheatervoorstelling voor kinderen doet Benjamin
Rummens la magie nouvelle (de nieuwe strekking binnen
de goochelwereld) uit de doeken. Of net niet?
Voor deze voorstelling is Cirque-Cirqulaire nog op zoek naar
coproducenten en een residentieplek (begin of eind 2012,
tweemaal vier weken). Première gepland in januari 2013.

Ciné-Sirk (2010)
‘Ciné-Sirk’ speelt zich af rond 1930, de magische periode van
foorkramers en kermissen, van waarzeggers en fakirs. De laatste
telgen La Famoso Familia Framboso komen op de proppen met
een wereldprimeur: de cinema. ‘Ciné-Sirk’ is origineel en interactief
circus voor alle leeftijden in een intiem tentje waarvoor Benjamin
Rummens samenwerkt met Werner Moonens. Ciné-Sirk is
opgenomen in Aanbod Podium van de Vlaamse overheid.
‘Ciné-Sirk’ se déroule dans les années trente, période magique de
kermesses et de marchands forains, de diseurs de bonne aventure
et de fakirs. Les derniers descendants de la famille ‘La Famoso
Familia Framboso’ nous présentent une primeur mondiale:
le cinéma! Un cirque interactif sous un chapiteau intime.
