squeça aquele papo furado de que mulher
não sabe dirigir e não entende nada de carro.
O Clube Elas está aí para provar que o sexo
feminino gosta de automóveis sim. Fundado há dez
anos, por duas apaixonadas por carros – Glenys Bessler
e Mirian Buso – a associação agrega diferentes tipos
de possantes e ultimamente tem ganhado membros do
sexo oposto também, que admiram o trabalho dessa
mulherada engajada no universo quatro rodas.
“Ganhamos o respeito e a admiração dos colecionadores
e homens que gostam de carros antigos. Essa é
realmente minha paixão. Troco uma tarde no shopping
por uma exposição de carros sem pensar duas vezes”,
brinca Glenys, que é a presidente do clube desde a
fundação.
Quem frequenta a Praça da Espanha já deve ter visto
que a trupe marca presença todo sábado na exposição
de carros antigos. E o mais legal é que além de unir as
luluzinhas espalhadas por Curitiba em um só lugar, a
associação ainda tem um cunho social muito bacana.
A principal influência de Glenys no mundo dos
automóveis foi o marido Jacobson Borowski, um aficionado
por esportivos nacionais da década de 70 e
80. Juntos eles compartilham a mesma paixão. “É um
hobby prazeroso, a gente conhece muita gente nos
eventos e exposições”, conta.
O casal tem alguns modelos na garagem, mas nosso
alvo para esta edição foi o simpático MP Lafer. A

about cars. The Club Elas is here to prove that
the female sex can like cars too. Founded ten years ago by
two women passionate about cars – Glenys Bessler and
Mirian Buso – the association brings together different
types of owners, and lately, has gained members of the
opposite sex too, who admire the work of the women
engaged in the universe of four wheels.
“We have gained the respect and admiration of
collectors and men who like vintage cars. That’s really
my passion. I would choose to spend an afternoon at a
car exhibition rather than in a shopping mall, without
thinking twice,” says Glenys, who has been President
of the Club since its founding.
For those who spend time at Praça da Espanha on
Saturdays, they must have seen the presence of the
troupe at the exhibition of vintage cars. And the coolest
thing is that in addition to uniting all the female car devotees
scattered throughout Curitiba in one place, the
association even has a really easy going social aspect.
The major influence for Glenys becoming involved
in the world of automobiles was her husband, Jacobson
Borowski, an enthusiast of the national sport in the 70’s
and 80s. Together, they share the same passion. “It’s a
pleasurable hobby, and we have gotten to know a lot of
people at events and exhibitions,” she says.
