que essa fase cristalina pode se quantificar
através de diferentes técnicas, sendo o índice de
cristalinidade o principal parâmetro para a interpretação
das modificações estruturais da celulose
(Santos et al., 2020).
Hubbe et al. (2017) stated that using films or
coatings with nanocellulose in packaging products
provides important benefits to human and environmental
health due to their processing characteristics.
In this regard, Lengowski et al., 2020 reported
that the use of nanocellulose can be considered an
excellent material in food packaging applications due
to the properties associated with its resistance characteristics
provided by the inter-fiber connections of
amorphous and crystalline zones. It should be noted
that this crystalline phase can be quantified through
different techniques, and the crystalline index is the
main parameter for interpreting structural changes in
cellulose (Santos et al., 2020).
