Celulose: Como funcionam os investimentos
em pesquisa da Bracell?
Márcio: A Bracell possui duas áreas bem consistentes
relacionadas à pesquisa. Primeiro, menciono
a área de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento
Florestal, que promove estudos sobre o melhoramento
genético clássico do eucalipto, além
de tecnologias de manejo florestal sustentável.
Dentro desta área, há uma estrutura de Extensão
Florestal, dedicada à transferência de tecnologia
para as operações florestais. Assim, garantimos
uma melhor produtividade florestal e qualidade
da madeira para produção de celulose, com
menor custo e mínimo impacto ambiental. A
outra área é a de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento
Industrial, na qual nossos especialistas têm como
objetivo ampliar a produtividade e a excelência
em qualidade dos produtos para atender às necessidades
de clientes de diferentes segmentos
do mercado de celulose. Usamos as melhores
tecnologias laboratoriais e industriais disponíveis,
o setor realiza testagem de madeira nos laboratórios,
com o intuito de identificar o insumo
mais apropriado, além de otimizar a produção
fabril e identificar novas oportunidades de produtos.
Celulose: Os investimentos em logística,
como o Terminal Intermodal de Pederneiras,
são essenciais para o crescimento das operações?

important partnership with MRS, with an
investment of R$ 58.5 million considering
the railway extension and the terminal. It
