maneira exponencial.
desgaste do feltro.
do feltro.
the application of high vacuum levels, which leads to
high energy consumption. Due to the high vacuum
levels, the deflection of the felt moves into the slits
(slots), which is detrimental to the felt, where the felt
loss occurs, leading to more significant felt wear.
The increase in the speed of the paper machine
results in a shorter permanence time in the suction
zone of each slit (slot), felt compaction and conditioning
decrease with the pressMaster concept because
the felt works all the time floating on the perforation
of the pressMaster ceramic cover of the conditioning
box, causing the contaminants of the felt to be removed
more easily from the felt interstices. That is to
say, those between the base and the felt blanket, and
with this, help in reducing the compaction and loss
of the felt.
Vanderlei Santos Silva, Technical Director of IBS do
Brasil, explains that the IBS PPG Group has been developing
system solutions over the last five decades to
meet the demand for components aimed at reducing
energy consumption, improving the pulp and paper
manufacturing process, as well as reducing environmental
impact. “The pressMaster + FabriClean combination
not only makes it possible to increase the life
of the felt but also to reduce the vacuum levels applied
to this felt, combined with a significant reduction in
process water consumption,” says Vanderlei.
HIGHLIGHTS
The first significant result obtained after installing
the system was the increase of the felt life by 50%.
This is due to practical and bandless cleaning on the
