futuro seja ainda melhor para todos. A celulose e o papel
feitos por aqui conquistam mercados, movem nossa
economia e garantem um mundo mais sustentável. O
segmento de papel e celulose nacional pode e deve se
orgulhar do que tem feito hoje e de como tem preparado
o futuro. Olhar para o passado mostra que o caminho
foi difícil, para o presente que há muito trabalho a
fazer e para o futuro é saber que os passos certos estão
sendo dados ainda hoje para que o melhor esteja adiante.

The domestic Pulp and Paper Sector has long been
recognized as a true synonym of excellence in its final
product. Accelerated production, a growing market, and
heavy investment ensure that the future is even better
for everyone. Brazilian pulp and paper have conquered
markets, moved our economy, and secured a more sustainable
world. The domestic Pulp and Paper Sector can
and should be proud of what it has done today and how
it has prepared for the future. Looking at the past shows
that the path has been difficult. For the present that there
is much work to do, and for the future is to know that
the proper steps are being taken even today so that the
best is ahead. In this issue, the reader will get to know
the FabriClean system from the IBS Paper Performance
Group, which improves productivity and considerably
reduces costs, nano cellulose research, which will transform
our way of seeing the world, investments in logistics
that will facilitate the flow of domestic pulp production,
and concern with environmental protection. Also, there is
an exclusive interview with Rodrigo Davoli, Senior Vice-
-president of Sylvamo and President of Sylvamo in North
America, which deals with his career, the Company’s
