City's Book Piracicaba SP 2023-24

SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT
The Symphonic Orchestra of Piracicaba (OSP) is
a classical musical ensemble that has been in Brazil
for the longest time. It has been 122 years providing
shows not only for the city, as well as to all Brazil.
The orchestra takes the representation of culture to all
citizens of Piracicaba, with affordable concerts, also
holding events with non-governmental organizations
and providing an unforgettable experience to children
and youth in situations of social vulnerability.
Held since 1983, The Nations Festival is also an
important part of the cultural access of the city, it is
part of the tourism calendar and also guarantees the
social development of the municipality. The event is
brought by the Nations Festival Cultural Association,
in partnership with social organizations of the city,
with all proceeds reverted to them. These institutions
are responsible for the typical foods and beverages from
different countries that attract a great number of visitors.
Both initiatives are supported by the Hyundai company
through culture incentive laws. In addition, Piracicaba
also has the support of other social organizations that
offer assistance to children, adolescents and families in
the region.
