cities in the State of São Paulo<br />
<strong>Piracicaba</strong> is among the safest municipalities of the<br />
country. The city has always positioned itself very well in<br />
the ranking of the Institute Sou da Paz (I am of Peace)<br />
and continues to improve its rating every year. Analysis<br />
of the 40 largest municipalities in São Paulo, all with<br />
more than 200 thousand inhabitants, highly urbanised<br />
and industrialized, <strong>Piracicaba</strong> sits in first place in<br />
security. The work is a result of articulation, planning<br />
and implementation of public policies, in addition to<br />
good indicators in education, management, sanitation<br />
and health care.<br />
The city is privileged in all areas and this is due to the<br />
proper functioning and integration of the institutions. In<br />
the Public Safety area, it maintains intense community<br />
participation and has integrated work among Civil and<br />
Military Police, Municipal Guard, Public Ministry,<br />
