Public Health offers
comprehensive care for citizens
The Municipal Health Office offers comprehensive
assistance to citizens and carries out protection and
recovery actions, controlling endemic and parasitic
diseases through SUS - Single Health System (Brazilian
federal health system).
Increasingly seeking to improve this quality of service,
the team works to sustainably expand the services for
users, for this reason, it continues to move forward with
the creation of new teams of Family Health, renovation
and expansion of the Basic Units, Emergency Care
Units, hiring professionals and the significant growth of
specialized care and diagnoses services.
Piracicaba Municipal Health
Network more than 100 units:
• 12 Basic Health Units
• 9 Primary Care Referral Centres
• 55 Family Health Strategy Units
• 10 specialized Clinics (Adolescent, Worker,
Women Health, Dental Care, Eye Care,
Infectious Diseases, etc.)
• 7 Emergency Care Units, including UPAs
(emergency care), SAMU (emergency mobile
care service), Orthopedics and Dentistry
Centre
• 10 units of the Psychosocial Care Network
• Pharmaceutical Assistance Department and
other units
