amylovora type strain 1⁄79Sm did not produce uorescent pigment on King_s B
medium, formed yellow mucoid colonies on MM2Cu semi-selective medium and
produced levan on sucrose rich agar plates. In conclusion, the data obtained during
the course of this work for several isolates from pear and apple trees with re blight
symptoms from the central part of Republic of Moldova allow us to identify these
bacteria as E. amylovora.
