Untruthful Poems in Kazakh Folklore

Abstract: Untruthful Poems have crucial importance in Kazakh
folklore than those of in other countries. Although these poems
untruthful in nature it has to be admitted that words in them
have hidden truth. Overall the use of everyday life scenes, the
description of spectacular scenery and behavior of people in
these poems tempt people to read them.
Untruthful Poems present a genre in Kazakh folklore. These
poems show people’s criticism about old culture (traditions) in
the form of fun and joke. For example people that didn’t like
the tradition of getting married by the parents agreement
derided it (laughed) in the poems. The characteristics of wise
and stupid men are described in some poems too.
