Zmiany zasad przyznawania rent strukturalnych oraz ich skutki_________________________________________________________________________________________SummaryThe aim of the presented analysis was to point out changes between PROW 2004-2006and PROW 2007-2013 concerning structural pensions. This action was one of the instrumentsmitigating unfavourable effects of agrarian changes on rural areas. It also was a source of incomefor farmers who decided to quit farming. It was deliberately designed for improving profitability ofagriculture and life quality on rural areas, as well as lowering unemployment among youngfarmers. During 2004-2006 there were 53.4 thou beneficiaries of this action. The period for takingadvantage of it was fixed for 10 years. The average amount of a pension was on the level of1572 PLN.During 2007-2013 the number of beneficiaries was reduced to 17.1 thou. Because of theEuropean Union financial support relocation there would be possibility to begin a newrecruitment for 6 thou structural pensions. The basic amount for a payment was defined on thelevel of 1013 PLN.
