Commentary on Megillat Esther and the Passover Haggadah,<br />
novellae on the laws of festivals, Maimonides and more. By R’<br />
Chaim Abulafiah. Izmir, Yonah Ashkenazi and David Chazzan<br />
press. 1729. [1], 24, [4], 216, [3] leaves, 20 cm. The Passover<br />
Haggadah appears on the [4] leaves before the commentary<br />
Zevach Pesach on the Haggadah.<br />
Only edition. The four unpaginated leaves containing the<br />
Haggadah, were apparently also published separately as a<br />
H aggadah. With (4) signatures of R’ Shmuel Heller, Chief<br />
Rabbi of Safed. Very old handwritten annotations.<br />
Good condition, leaves 98 – 99 were taken from a different copy.<br />
The title page is slightly cut. Antique half-leather binding.<br />
A rare book. Ben Ya’akov did not see it. Friedberg mistook<br />
the number of leaves. According to Vinograd, there is only a<br />
facsimile of the book in the National Library. It is not recorded<br />
in the bibliographies of Passover Haggadot of Yaari and<br />
Yudelov.<br />

במצב טוב, דפים צח – צט מעותק אחר. שער חתוך מעט. כריכת<br />
חצי עור עתיקה.<br />
ספר נדיר. בן יעקב לא ראה אותו. פרידברג טעה במספר הדפים.<br />
לפי וינוגרד בספריה הלאומית יש רק צלום של הספר. לא מוזכר<br />
בביבילוגרפיה של הגדות של פסח של יערי ושל יודלוב.<br />
