Title page with an architectural border, about the title page
see: A. Yaari, Diglei HaMadpisim HaIvri’im illustration 100
– 101 and notes. The publisher, Avraham Ben Avraham Avinu
(the convert), began publishing in Yasnitz and later moved to
Wandsbeck (where he published the book Chavatzelet HaSharon,
see below), see: C. D. Friedberg, Toldot HaD’fus HaIvri
BeEuropa HaTichona, page 104. This copy was apparently
used for the Sabbath Haftarah reading in the synagogue, as the
portions for the Haftarah are marked in the margins, and on the
title page it is written that this book belongs to the Cantor of
t he London Community in 1771. Ex Libris of the library of
Meldola – De Sola of London and Montreal.
Very good condition, printed on thick paper. With Owners’
signatures.
