The education at the Seluz Perfume
Academy begins with training on basic
smell families and raw materials. And
the perfumers continue to develop
simple formulas by learning the
odors of the raw materials related to
different odor families. In the following
period, the candidates are trained
about more complex structures,
such as personal care and home care
products, and the methods of designing
odors for products that differ in their
technical characteristics. That our
young colleagues who are studying at
our academy are trained by master
perfumers who are considered one of
the best in the world, they perfectly
develop their technical skills and
creative approaches.
As being someone in the kitchen of
the fragrance business, how do you
describe your sense of odor?
Being in the center of the fragrance
business offers you a lot of options for
your perfume pleasure.
On the other hand, the abundance of
options may make you more picky. The
perfume I am currently using is a unique
fragrance that I designed together
with a senior perfumer from the Seluz
Perfume Academy. But in terms of
perfumes among commercial products,
I can say that I really like Aventus
perfume from Creed brand.
Would you like to add any other opinion
regarding the sector and regional
dynamics?
Enhancing the design and production
know-how of fragrance and other
value-added products have critical
importance for the optimization of
the unit product cost and value added
products’ remaining in the Middle
East Countries... As Seluz, we believe
in potential of Turkey and the Middle
East. With this belief we are making
courageous investments. If some of the
problems in our region have been solved
in the near future we will have a better
chance of achieving all this potential.
