SPEAKING Invitations
I can make and respond to invitations.
1 Look at the photo. Where are Marie and Dean?
2 1.25 Listen to the dialogue. Does Marie accept
Dean’s invitation?
Marie Hi, Dean. I haven’t seen you for a while. How are
things?
Dean Not bad. How are you?
Marie I’m OK. What are you doing in town today?
Dean Oh, I’ve just returned some books to the library.
Marie Hey, I’m going to Tate’s for coffee. Have you got
time for one?
Dean I can’t, I’m afraid, I’ve got to get home. Sorry!
Marie No problem. I haven’t got much time anyway.
Dean Have you seen that new horror film yet? It’s on at
the cinema in town this week.
Marie No, I haven’t, but I’ve heard it’s terrifying.
Dean I’m going to see it with some friends tomorrow.
Do you fancy coming?
Marie I’d love to. What time?
Marie That would be great. See you later then, Dean.
Dean OK. Bye, Marie.
