Chancen für neue
Fachkräfte
Sachsen ist ein Land der Ideen. Tüchtige Unternehmer, vorbildliche Lehrer und
fleißige Bürger bringen das Land jeden Tag voran, doch der demografische
Wandel schafft neue Herausforderungen. Die Bevölkerung altert, die Zahl der
Schülerinnen und Schüler sinkt, der Bedarf an qualifizierten Mitarbeitern in
Unternehmen steigt. Die Frage, wie der Bedarf an Fachkräften gedeckt werden
kann, treibt Wirtschaft und Politik gleichermaßen um.
Wohlstand für alle heißt heute Bildung für alle und umsichtige Unternehmer
setzen auf Menschen und deren Wissen. Deshalb müssen Wirtschaft und
Politik Hand in Hand wirksame Lösungen für die demografisch bedingten
Probleme finden, damit Sachsen weiterhin blüht und die Menschen gern in
ihrer Heimat leben und arbeiten.
Neben dem Gymnasium besitzt Sachsen die Mittelschule als Herzstück des
Schulsystems. Leistungsorientiert und chancengerecht bildet sie die Praxiselite
des Landes aus und führt über das Berufliche Gymnasium zum Abitur.
Nun haben junge Menschen eine neue Chance, in vier Jahren doppelt qualifiziert
in das Berufsleben einzusteigen: Sie können eine Duale Berufsausbildung
mit Abitur absolvieren (DuBAS), das heißt eine Berufsausbildung und gleichzeitig
das Abitur. Bei diesem Modellprojekt arbeiten das Kultusministerium,
die Wirtschaft und die Beruflichen Schulzentren in Sachsen Hand in Hand.
Das Kultusministerium startet mit den Industrie- und Handelskammern und
zwei Beruflichen Schulzentren dieses Modellprojekt in den Bildungsgängen
Informatikberuf mit Abitur in Dresden und Metallberuf mit Abitur in Leipzig.

and the government in equal measures.
Prosperity for everyone means today education for everyone, and prudent
entrepreneurs focus on people and their knowledge. That is why the business
community and government have to find effective solutions together
for the problems that are arising out of the demographic change so that
Saxony will continue to prosper and the people will want to live and work in

binden können. Gelungene Bildung setzt Bindung voraus. Bindung aber ist
auch die Voraussetzung für ein langfristig erfolgreiches Berufsleben.

Ministry for Education and Cultural Affairs (SMK), the business community,
and the vocational school centers in Saxony are working hand-in-hand in
this pilot project.
Together with the Chambers of Industry and Commerce and two vocational
school centers, the State Ministry for Education and Cultural Affairs
will launch this pilot project in the occupational fields computer science
with college entrance qualification in Dresden and metalworking with college
entrance qualification in Leipzig. Specifically, this involves IT specialists,
IT systems electronic technicians, industrial mechanics, toolmakers,
and machining mechanics. The project starts in the academic school year
2011/2012 with a total of 40 places; 20 each in Dresden and Leipzig.
This new education and training helps both young people and companies
because with a college entrance qualification, students have the opportunity
of continuing their education at universities of cooperative education
and colleges while companies benefit from the knowledge and skills of the
trainees and will be able to establish quite early close ties to these skilled
professionals and executives of the future. Successful education calls for
commitment. Commitment, though, is also a prerequisite for successful
long-term professional careers.
