In einer Werbebroschüre von Grandhotel Pupp vom
Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts schreibt man: „Die geräumige,
helle Küche von Grand Hotel Pupp mit einer
großartigen Kücheneinrichtung, Grills und Spießen,
mit anliegenden französischen Konditortischen, einem
Raum für die Lagerung und Verarbeitung von rohem
Fleisch, mit modernen Kühltruhen, Vorratskammern
und Kellern, mit einer reichen Auswahl an Weinsorten
besten Geschmacks und ausgezeichneten Bouquets,
zusammen mit einer ausgezeichneten Organisation des
gesamten Hotels kann man für eine der interessantesten
Sehenswürdigkeiten von Karlsbad halten.“ Der
imposante Eindruck vom gesamten Küchenumfeld
übertrug sich über die Jahrhunderte bis in die heutige
Zeit. Alles von der glänzenden Sauberkeit bis zu der

It is written in a brochure dating from the
early 20th century and publicizing the
Grandhotel Pupp: “The spacious light kitchen
of the Grand Hotel Pupp with its gigantic engines,
grills and spits, the adjoining French
confectionary tables and cold meat kitchen,
the meat storing rooms and modern ice boxes,
stores, cellars which contain the richly
assorted wines of the most exquisite bouquet
and flavor and the excellent arrangements of
the entire hotel may be considered to be one
of the most interesting sights of Carlsbad.”
The astonishing impression of this kitchen has
survived until this time. Everything from sparkling
cleanness up to the latest technologies
makes the gastronomic facilities of the
Grandhotel Pupp a top workplace of world
standards.
