With<strong>in</strong> the first 45 m<strong>in</strong>utes, junior speakers will present new f<strong>in</strong>d<strong>in</strong>gs<br />
to pathogenesis and specific treatment options for ret<strong>in</strong>al<br />
detachment. In the second half of the symposium experts from five<br />
European countries will <strong>in</strong>troduce, discuss and defend different advances<br />
on the treatment of rhegmatogenous ret<strong>in</strong>al detachments<br />
such as primary buckl<strong>in</strong>g, pneumatic ret<strong>in</strong>opexy, primary vitrectomy<br />
and the role of gases, silicone oil, heavy liquids and sta<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g agents.<br />
