BEstiMMunGsGEMässE VErwEnDunG:
Der Sicherheits-Kolbenentleerhahn wird an gewerblichen
Großküchen- und Fleischereikochkesseln verwendet.
Er ist als:
p Auslaufhahn für drucklose Kochkessel,
p Druckkochkessel mit einem Betriebsdruck bis max. 0,5 bar
p und einer Temperaturbeaufschlagung von max. 160 °C
vorgesehen.
Alle Bauteile sind aus korrosionsfestem Werkstoff oder mit
bewährten Mitteln gegen Korrosion geschützt und entsprechen
der DIN 18 855.
FunKtiOn:
Der Klappgriff hängt grundsätzlich senkrecht herunter, im
geschlossenen Zustand an der linken Seite, quer zur Ausflussrichtung.
Zum Öffnen ist der Klappgriff in horizontale
Lage zu bringen und hoch zu ziehen. Der Kolbenentleerhahn
wird durch Drehen des Klappgriffes von Hand geöffnet bzw.
geschlossen. Zwei im Hahngehäuse fest angebrachte Stifte
greifen in zwei in den Kolben eingelassene geschlossene
Kurven, so dass der Kolben beim Drehen zwangsläufig in Öffnungs-
oder Schließrichtung bewegt wird. Die Kurvenbahn
ist so konstruiert, dass der Kolben beim Öffnen zunächst
langsam steigt und erst nach 60° Drehweg in den schnell
steigenden Bereich übergeht. Dies erhöht sowohl die Dosierbarkeit,
als auch im besonderem Maße die Sicherheit, da
beim versehentlichem Öffnen unter Druck bis zu einem Drehwinkel
von 50° nur ein ringförmiger Spalt zwischen Kolben
und Gehäuse freigegeben ist.

intEndEd usE:
The safety piston drain cock is used on canteen kitchen and
butcher’s cooking appliances.
It is designed to be used:
p as a drain cock for non-pressurized cooking vessels,
p on pressure cookers with an operating pressure of up to
0.5 bar
p and a maximum pressure temperature of 160°C.
All components consist of corrosion-proof materials, or materials
protected against corrosion in well-proven ways, and they
all conform to DIN 18 855.
FunCtion:
The hinged handle always hangs down straight. When closed,
it’s on the left side, crosswise with the outflow direction. To
open/close the hinged handle it is put in a horizontal position,
then pulled up. The piston drain cock is opened and closed
manually, by turning the hinged handle. Two pins fixed inside
the tap body run in two closed cams inserted into the piston so
it will automatically be moved in an opening or closing direction
when turned.
The cam path has been constructed for the piston to move
upward slowly at first upon opening. It won’t rise fast until a
60° turn has been made. This improves closing and safety, in
particular, because if the piston is opened inadvertently, under
pressure up to a turning angle of 50°, only an annular gap
between the piston and the body is opened. The cock has been
provided with a drop handle safeguard, too, against inadvertent
opening. It also has an interception safeguard. If the piston
