Cooling <strong>of</strong> the room air
Results and Discussion
With the earth cooling system it´s possible to control the temperature <strong>of</strong> rooms and
buildings worldwide. The nature uses this system in many different concepts in every
region worldwide. So the human can use this system to control temperature <strong>with</strong>out any
external energy. Without metal walls in rooms, this system is used in Persia in different
concepts. In Ab Anbar´s only use the difference <strong>of</strong> pressure to ventilate the hall inside.
A Bâdgir (Fig. 5)[11][12] is a windcatcher, this persian concept don´t use only the pressure
difference also cooling the air by earth. In addition to the “normal” ground temperature
this buildings use evaporation <strong>of</strong> the groundwater. But not only old buildings use
this technic, the “Eastgate Center” in Harare (Zimbabwe) get fresh, cold air <strong>with</strong>out the
metal walls and the groundwater. A lot <strong>of</strong> parking houses use this method to get fresh
air inside the platforms. So this concept can be used for fresh and cold air in hospitals
worldwide. Also the hospitals in industrial countries can use the concept to reduce the
cost <strong>of</strong> energy for climate control units.

For surgeries it´s necessary to canalizes the cold air, because the cold air and the clean
one shouldn´t mix. To manage this problem it´s possible to takes a wall mad out <strong>of</strong> metal
in the surgery room. In opposite <strong>of</strong> the DIN 1964, the temperature can´t control exactly,
only the velocity and the speed <strong>of</strong> the air. These two parameters can control the
temperature.
To build such a system, metal, pipes, stones and workers are required. Stones are to
build the chimney this part can also be used to be a symbol for the hospital and as a marker
to find the hospital in big regions. Workers are important to dig the holes and ditch
