PARTNER´S DANCE PROGRAMME
In seiner jüngsten Tanzproduktion ‚Tenir le temps’ untersucht
der französische Choreograf Rachid Ouramdane
die Fähigkeit des Menschen, sich an unkontrollierbare
Dynamiken anzupassen und aus der eigenen Machtlosigkeit
individuelle und kollektive Kräfte zu entwickeln.
16 Tänzer*innen bewegen sich konstant durch den Raum,
begegnen sich als Gruppe oder individuell und driften
anschließend in alle Richtungen auseinander. Ihre tänzerischen
Aktionen gleichen Lawinen, Kettenreaktionen,
Dominoeffekten oder kollektiven Schwarmbewegungen,
ausgelöst von unsichtbaren, aber überwältigenden Kräften.
Ursache und Wirkung sind in dieser großen, komplexen
Gruppenchoreografie nicht mehr zu unterscheiden.
Widmete sich Rachid Ouramdane in seiner Arbeit bislang
konkreten politischen oder historischen Erfahrungen
des Einzelnen, erforscht er in ‚Tenir le temps’ die krisenhafte
Existenz des Menschen, aber auch das spannungsreiche
Verhältnis zwischen Individuum und Gemeinschaft
als Motor von Zeitgenossenschaft.
In his most recent dance production, ‘Tenir le temps’, the French
choreographer Ouramdane investigates the ability of humans
to adapt to uncontrolled dynamics and draw individual and
collective energy from their own powerlessness. Dancers, 16
in all, constantly move through the space, encountering each
other as a group or individually, and then drifting apart again in
all directions. Their dance actions resemble avalanches, chain
reactions, domino effects, or collective swarm movements, triggered
by invisible yet overwhelming forces. Cause and effect
can no longer be distinguished in this huge, complex group
choreography.
While in his work to date, Rachid Ouramdane has engaged
with concrete political and historical experiences made by the
individual, in ‘Tenir le temps’ he examines the critical existence of
man, but also the tensional relationship between individual and
community as the driving force of contemporaneity.
