Ziel der Tagung ist es, transnationale deutschtürkische
Bindungen näher zu beleuchten. Nach einer
ausführlichen Darlegung und Diskussion theoretischer
Implikationen sowie der Vermittlung eines Überblicks
über türkische Migrationsströme nach Deutschland
und deutsche bzw. deutsch-türkische Migrationsströme
in die Türkei durch GastreferentInnen soll der
Blick auf unterschiedliche Aspekte der deutschtürkischen
Transnationalität gerichtet werden.

Seventh Meeting of the SOAS Biennial Conference:
“The Qur'an: Text, Society & Culture”,

While the conference will remain committed to the
textual study of both the Qur'an itself and the history
of the religious, intellectual and artistic activity that
developed around it and drew on it, attention will also
be given to non-textual cultural, sociological and

Kemalism beyond the frontiers of Turkey in the post-
