So
In the same month, I changed the family and my host
mom accepted me and took good care of me, and for
that I really appreciate her.
Then came May: May was really a blessed month
as it was the month of my birthday and I got the
opportunity of being taken to Portugal. That was the
great present for my birthday from my host mother. I
was very happy that even people at work considered
my birthday.
The last seminar I had has been the best seminar of
all the seminars I had. During this seminar there
were a lot of workshops and everyone had something
to teach. I had a workshop where I taught the others
how to dance. I was happy that they liked the dance
I showed them and some of them managed to dance
the right way. Because in fact, dancing is difficult: not
everyone can manage it. I myself, I learned how to
paint and draw. During this workshop I painted a box
representing the Zambian flag and the others were
happy about it because some of them did not know
neither the flag nor the meaning of the colors. It was
a wonderful experience for me to meet with German
youths in the seminar. And they taught me more of
the language because for some of them it was hard
to translate everything in English. And as they could
also ask me everything about Zambia, some of them
gained interest in visiting my country.
I had a great goodbye at work though at the same time
it has been sad for me because I got used to my work
and the people have been so good to me. So, it has
been very hard to accept that my voluntary work in the
hospital had come to an end. Nevertheless, I received
beautiful presents. My colleagues gave them to me to
show their appreciation for my work. And I was very
happy about that because it showed me that I am so
loved by them. Station 5 people were so good to me
and I will live to miss them. Especially my supervisor
has been so kind. He would ask how living with the
family was and if everything was fine. He would calm
me down whenever I missed home and for that I will
miss him so much.
