Holzhacken beim Opa / Wood chopping with Grandpa
they say I am like chocolate which is cool. I call them
“milk” and “white bread”. We have many activities
with other kindergartens like dancing, reading, sports
activities and block building. The kindergarten is so
alive and not boring, despite being the only young
man in the kindergarten – I’m okay with that. A good
thing is that my workmates always support me, like
in an incident that happened one of the days: A child
told the parents that I slapped him, which I did not
do. The reason why he said that is because he never
wanted to come to the kindergarten that day, so he
decided to lie. The father was very angry and upset.
But I didn‘t talk to him, instead the person in charge
of me did that. Everyone said that I could not do that
to the child, I am not in the same group with the boy,
and I had not interacted with the child for a week. The
father was talked to and he understood, so the whole
issue was resolved. I was happy that everyone was at
my side and some even cried. The incident was not
good, I had a lot of thoughts in my mind, but I was
able to get them out of my mind and move on. The
kindergarten is good place for me, I have a lot of fun
with the children, I do art projects with them and
teach them English.
Life in Germany is favourable, sometimes good and
sometimes not. It can be difficult because I have to get
used to the environment, the culture and language,
so that I can easily cooperate with the people and
communicate. Otherwise Germany is a good country,
people are friendly, I like the surrounding, the buildings
and trees, and the weather - although it‘s cold for me.
The leaves look so nice, they are changing colour and
are turning to brown, it looks beautiful. One of my
biggest hopes is seeing snow, because everyone back
home is asking about snow.
Greetings to Zambia, we are soon coming back! We
are enjoying, though not fully, but as days go by the
more we enjoy.
Bye bye.
