RFMW introduces new products
RFMW Announced
Distribution
Agreement with
Nuvotronics
RFMW announced a global distribution
agreement with Nuvotronics,
Inc. Under the agreement,
RFMW is franchised for
worldwide marketing and sales
of Nuvotronics’ portfolio of
mmWave power modules, filters,
diplexers, multiplexers,
and antenna arrays. Nuvotronics
offers an extensive range
of custom and standard modules
providing compact, highly efficient
solutions at a fraction of the
mass of traditional solutions due
to their unprecedented ability to
fabricate and miniaturize 3D airmetal-dielectric
structures with
micron level tolerances. RFMW
is a specialized distributor providing
customers and suppliers
with focused distribution of RF
and microwave components as
well as specialized componentengineering
support.
CATV Equalizer
Delivers 20 dB Slope
RFMW announced design and
sales support for a variable
gain equalizer from Qorvo. The
QPC7335 equalizer supports
CATV amplifier and transmission
systems from 45 to 1000
MHz with a 20 dB slope range.
Gain equalizers allow the ability
to adjust for power roll of with
changes such as temperature,
cable length, etc. The QPC7335
has minimum insertion loss of
2.3 dB with flatness of 1 dB.
Using integrated gain equalizers
reduces a project’s bill of materials
(BOM) and provides space
reduction for dense PCB designs.
Offered in a 6 x 6 mm package.
VHF Data Exchange
System Module
RFMW announced design and
sales support for a VHF Data
Exchange System Module
from CML Microcircuits. The
VDES1000 module is a complete
marine VHF Data Exchange
System (VDES) Software
Defined Radio (SDR) solution.
Implemented using state-of-the
art technology provides a very
tight integration, with industry
leading high performance and
unsurpassed flexibility in a very
small form factor. The module
provides out-of-the box high
performance, a fully compliant
multi-channel AIS Class-A,
ASM, VDE transceiver and is
highly flexible. The VDES1000
module integrates an isolated
power supply, high power amplifier,
Low Noise amplifier (LNA),
digital baseband processing
and protocol handler for AIS,
ASM and VDE and is designed
for easy addition to an existing
housing, enabling a speedy development
cycle to end product.
Future proof to accommodate
evolving VHF Data Exchange
System standards, the module
is fully upgradeable via software
updates.
Fiber Deep Switch
Provides High
Isolation
RFMW announced design
and sales support for a lowloss
switch from Qorvo. The
QPC7522 is a 75 ohm, SPDT
switch operating from 5 to 3300
MHz. Insertion loss ranges from
just 0.12 dB at lower frequencies
to 0.7 dB at maximum frequency.
Processed using Silicon on Insulator
(SOI), this reflective switch
is designed for use in Fiber Deep
nodes, CATV amplifiers and set
top boxes used in 75 ohm environments
but can also support 50
ohm designs. Port to port isolation
is measured at 1 GHz is 45
dB and the QPC7522 requires no
external DC blocking capacitors
on the RF path. Offered in a 1.1
x 1.5 mm LGA package.
pHEMT Amplifier
Supports Ka-Band
Radar
RFMW announced design and
sales support for a high frequency
power amplifier from
Qorvo. The Qorvo QPA2575
offers 3 W of saturated power
with small signal gain of 19
dB. Ideal for Ka-Band radar
and electronic warfare designs
operating within 32 to 38 GHz,
the QPA2575 also finds uses in
satellite communication systems.
Fully matched to 50 ohms with
integrated DC blocking caps on
both I/O ports, it is 100% DC
and RF tested on-wafer to ensure
compliance to performance specifications.
LP-WAN Module
Delivers Greater
Range
RFMW announced design and
sales support for a high efficiency,
high performance transmit/
receive front-end module (FEM)
from Skyworks Solutions. The
SKY66121-11 provides greater
than four times range extension
versus standalone systems-onchip,
with 30 dBm Pout at 169
to 170 MHz.
The device features low power
consumption and enables fast
switch timing (
