RULE 31 REPORTS - CHANNELING OF. A commanding
officer shall cause to be prepared, transmitted,
filed, used, and preserved,all official
communications, reports, and other correspondence
received by or forwarded from his
command. .
RULE 32 DEPARTMENT EQUIPMENT. A commanding
officer sball make a weekly inspection of all
department buildings and equipment within bis
command to determine their good order. He
shall see that all department equipment is being
properl y used and he shall noti fy maintenance
authori ties when repairs or replacements
are needed.
RULE 33 CUSTODY, CHARGING AND CARE OF PRISON­
ERS. A commanding officer shall be responsible
for the proper custody, charging and care
of all prisoners held or processed by members
of his command. When a prisoner is in need of
medical attention it shall be afforded him
without unnecessary delay.
RULE 3q SICK, INJURED OR UNCONSCIOUS PERSONS.
A commanding officer shall not permit the confinement
of any sick, injured or unconscious
prisoner in any cell or lock-up under his command.
He shall provide for an examination of
such person by a physician.
RULE 35 INSPECT! ON OF BOOKS AND RECORDS. A
commanding officer shall make a daily examination
and inspection of all books and records
required to be kept by his command and shall
see that the proper entries are made therein.
RULE 36 PROPER PERFORMANCE OF DUTY. A commanding
officer shall see th at each member of
his command is instructed as to the proper
performance of his assigned duties and that
said members are performing such duties properly
and efficiently. He shall recommend to
