RULE 31 REPORTS - CHANNELING OF. A <strong>com</strong>manding<br />
officer shall cause to be prepared, transmitted,<br />
filed, used, and preserved,all official<br />
<strong>com</strong>munications, reports, and other correspondence<br />
received by or forwarded from his<br />
<strong>com</strong>mand. .<br />
RULE 32 DEPARTMENT EQUIPMENT. A <strong>com</strong>manding<br />
officer sball make a weekly inspection of all<br />
department buildings and equipment within bis<br />
<strong>com</strong>mand to determine their good order. He<br />
shall see that all department equipment is being<br />
properl y used and he shall noti fy maintenance<br />
authori ties when repairs or replacements<br />
are needed.<br />
RULE 33 CUSTODY, CHARGING AND CARE OF PRISON<br />
ERS. A <strong>com</strong>manding officer shall be responsible<br />
for the proper custody, charging and care<br />
of all prisoners held or processed by members<br />
of his <strong>com</strong>mand. When a prisoner is in need of<br />
medical attention it shall be afforded him<br />
without unnecessary delay.<br />
RULE 3q SICK, INJURED OR UNCONSCIOUS PERSONS.<br />
A <strong>com</strong>manding officer shall not permit the confinement<br />
of any sick, injured or unconscious<br />
prisoner in any cell or lock-up under his <strong>com</strong>mand.<br />
He shall provide for an examination of<br />
such person by a physician.<br />
RULE 35 INSPECT! ON OF BOOKS AND RECORDS. A<br />
<strong>com</strong>manding officer shall make a daily examination<br />
and inspection of all books and records<br />
required to be kept by his <strong>com</strong>mand and shall<br />
see that the proper entries are made therein.<br />
RULE 36 PROPER PERFORMANCE OF DUTY. A <strong>com</strong>manding<br />
officer shall see th at each member of<br />
his <strong>com</strong>mand is instructed as to the proper<br />
performance of his assigned duties and that<br />
said members are performing such duties properly<br />
