for all bail monies or other monies
coming into his possession during his tour oJ
duty.
RULE 8q V IOLATI ONS - REPORTI NG. A desk sergeant
shall report to his commanding officer
any violation of the rules and regulations of
the department, or any improper conduct by any
member of the department, which may come to
hi s atten tion.
RULE 85 IMPORTANT INFORMATION - REPORTING. A
desk sergeant shall call the attention of his
commanding officer to all matters of importance,
s uch as unusual occurrences, important
messages or condi tions requiri.ng his
atten tion.
RULE 86 MISSING PERSONS - REPORTIHG. Whenever
a desk sergeant is notified of a missing
person residing in his district he shall obtain
a detailed desc ription of such person,
including all particulars concerning the disappearance.
This information sha,ll be communicated
immediately to the Missing Persons
Section. He shall cause to be made whatever
s upplement a ry investi gations may be necessary,
and shall cooperate wi th the Mi ssing Persons
Section. Whenever the mis s ing person is a
reside nt of another district, the desk sergeant
shall obtain all pertinent information
regarding the missing person and the particu­
I ars concerning the di sappearance the same as
if th e missing person were a res ident of his
district. Under no circumstances shall he refer
the compl ainant to another district or
bureau. He shall be responsible for promptly
notifyin g the district concerned of all information
concerning the disappearance. He shall
keep a written report of the case for his
